Ex navy followed by 45 years working for a New Zealand Government agency
You can tell by the tatts that I am ex navy. I joined the RNZN in 1965 as a 16 year old. I applied for an early discharge in 1969, which was granted. I then had a few jobs and then I joined a government department in 1970 where I stayed for the next 45 years, retiring in 2015.
I held a range of positions during my 45 years. One thing I enjoyed the most was learning a lot of computer programmes, the Microsoft suite of tools, and how to create web sites.
I first started a hobby as www.simplewebsites.co.nz but gave that up. More recently I have become the webmaster for a number of clubs and have decided to venture out and see if I can assist other clubs too, and maybe make a bit of extra spending money on the way.
